Low Water – Full Day
Days – Daily (1st August - 15th Jan)

High Water - Full Day
Days – Daily (15th Jan - 1st August)

Highlights
Arguably the wildest white water in the world, rafting on the Zambezi River is an adrenaline rush not to be missed.
Departs daily for Full or Half Day trips. The rapids on the Zambezi River are officially defined as “Grade 5” by the British Canoe Union (Grade 6 being commercially un-runnable). Clients should be reasonably fit for this activity, as there is a fairly steep walk into & out of the Batoka Gorge as well as the white water rafting activity itself. Tea, coffee & biscuits are served in the morning at check-in, after which clients are taken to the Gorge for their safety briefing before the days’ activity commences. Depending on the activity booked, a light lunch is either served in the gorge between rapids (Full Day), or at the top of the gorge (Half Day). Clients booked for a Full Day will continue on rafting in the afternoon and can expect to be returned to their hotels at 15:00hrs (high water) and 17:00hrs (low water). Due to the nature of this activity, clients should be warned to leave their valuables & personal effects safely locked up at their hotel.

A Continental breakfast is served on one of the Islands along the way.

Zambezi Drift - Wine Route

A sunset cruise with a difference, this is a perfect photographic opportunity, and clients can enjoy the selection of soft drinks, beer, wine and snacks provided in their canoes.

Full Day Canoe Trip

Highlights

On these trips clients paddle their own canoes, following their qualified Canoe Guide as he leads the way & stopping for a light picnic lunch on an island before making their way to the dis-embarkment point at approximately 16.00hrs.

Multi Day Canoe Trips

Highlights
The Upper Zambezi River is a vast contrast from the rapids of the Gorge below Victoria Falls. Wild Horizons Upper Zambezi Canoeing offering Two and Three Day trips; these diverse safaris are inclusive of game drives in the Zambezi National Park, riverside (fully backed up) camping, Grade 1 and 2 rapids, picnics on remote islands and exploring secret overhung channels. High Wire Activities

Gorge Swing!
Age Restriction - There is no age limit on these activities, however, at management’s discretion children may be required to travel in a double harness with an adult. Parents or guardians of any child under 16 must be present and available to sign an indemnity on the child’s behalf. Management retain the right to turn a child away at their own discretion should they feel the child is not able to cope with the experience in any way. There is no maximum age limit.
Highlights
Imagine swinging in a child's swing in the playground...now imagine a giant swing 95m long and 120m high above water...now imagine a 70m free fall before you begin swinging. Our highwire is suspended across the gorge at a point where the width is 316m and 120m deep.  A harness is attached to the jumper and then the jumping ropes, the other end of which is pivoted to the middle of the cable. The jumper leaps off the edge of the gorge, free falling about 70m before going into a 95m long pendulum type swing.

The Zip Line (Foofie Slide)!

Highlights
Imagine the adrenalin rush traveling a speed of 106 km’s hurtling 425m across the gorge, while suspended 120m above the breath taking beauty of the Zambezi water below! As the river zigzags down the Batoka Gorges, our cable is suspended across from one side to the other. For this product you are harnessed and attached to a pulley, then launched over the edge picking up speed as you descend over the water and reaching a speed of 106 km an hour. This is the longest Zip Line (Foofie Slide) ride in the world.

Abseil & Rapp-jump!.

Highlights
Imagine abseiling 120m down a brilliant sheer cliff, doing 360-degree twists, descending backwards or rap jumping forwards and walking down the gorge as if to defy gravity itself! Suspended against the rock you can jump out and swing yourself from side to side or round in twists in as timid or confident a manor as you feel! With this product you can try both abseiling and rap jumping. Abseiling is descending backwards down the gorge and lowering yourself all the way to the bottom. Rapp Jumping, here the harness is connected backwards enabling you to run or walk down the cliff facing down into the gorge!

The Flying Fox!

Highlights
Imagine taking a running jump into thin air over the chasm, soaring horizontally through the air over the turmoil of the Zambezi below. The gorge at this point is 200 meters wide and 120 meters deep. This is a great appetizer before you try the Zip Line and Gorge Swing.
